Dr. Long Do is from Arlington, Texas, where he attended Bowie High School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA, Dr. Do was actively involved as a multi-year officer in the Pre-Optometry Professional Society and gained practical experience working as an optometric technician at Boyd Eye Care and an eyewear specialist at Visionworks. He graduated from the Rosenberg School of Optometry at the top of his class in 2013.

During his optometry studies in San Antonio, Dr. Do received recognition for his academic achievements with the Academic Excellence Scholarship and became a Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society member. He was honored with the 2011 Service Award for outstanding student program contributions and served as the Student Texas Optometry Association President.

Dr. Do's clinical training included rotations at private practices in San Antonio and the San Antonio Veterans Affairs Hospital. These experiences allowed him to refine his skills in a wide range of eye care services such as contact lens fittings, cataract and LASIK co-management, pediatric eye care, diabetic eye exams, and managing conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

He is proficient in performing medical eye exams for foreign body removal and treating ocular infections. As a Texas Board of Optometry certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, he is authorized to prescribe topical and oral medications for various eye and visual system conditions. Dr. Do is an active member of the Texas Optometry Association, American Optometry Association, and Tarrant County Optometric Society.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Do values spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Dianne, their two daughters, Peyton and Hailey, and their Chihuahua. He enjoys watching basketball and football, exploring new places, and volunteering at animal shelters.
